FAQs - 12d Tech Forum
Where is my ticket?
We don’t send out tickets per se, but when you arrive at the event, your name will be on the list, so you can just show up and collect your name tag and goodie bag from our team!
PLEASE NOTE: You should, however, receive an email invoice for the event; if you (or the person who registered you) have not received this, please contact us at techforum@12d.com
Are all meals provided if I purchase a Full Tech Forum Package?
On the first day, we provide registration tea/coffee, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, plus the Welcome Event includes light refreshments (though some people choose to go for dinner afterwards since the event will finish by 8pm).
On Day 2, we provide registration tea/coffee, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, plus the Gala Dinner is that night.
On Day 3, we provide registration tea/coffee, morning tea, and lunch.
How do I get to BCEC?
If you’re travelling from Brisbane Airport, the Airtrain is a quick and convenient option - just buy a ticket to South Brisbane and follow the signs to BCEC. To reach the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), guests can choose from three entrances. We suggest using the Grey St entrance for convenience. While undercover parking is available for a fee, we encourage guests to explore alternative transportation options to enhance their experience and avoid driving to the venue.
What is the dress code?
We encourage a ‘smart casual’ dress code for this event. Some delegates choose to dress up a little for the Gala Dinner, but this is not compulsory.
Where can I store my luggage on the third day?
Delegates who are flying out of Brisbane after the sessions on the Tuesday often need somewhere to store their luggage. Our team at the Registration Desk will point you in the direction of an area near the desk where delegates are welcome to store their bags, under the proviso that it’s ‘all care, no responsibility’.
Why does the event start on a Sunday?
We’ve been running these events since 2005, and ever since then, we’ve encouraged feedback on the Sunday start. While there are some who’d prefer the event run only on weekdays, we still have a lot of support for the Sunday because many of our delegates run their own businesses and can’t afford the downtime of three days off regular work.
"This event has been fantastic – the 12d Tech Forums always are. There are some great new features coming out, and I love meeting other 12d users. I’m particularly interested in the new features for Digital Engineering and Solid Modelling for BIM. The way the industry is going, this is vital, and it’s good to see 12d is on the cutting edge and leading the way with how that kind of modelling is developing. You don’t even need to be a 12d user to get something out of this event – there’s something for everyone"
